TECDIS can offer the highest grade of flexibility and user friendliness ever seen on an ECDIS!

TECDIS was one of the first ECDIS systems approved according to the latest IMO regulations. TECDIS can use S-57 ed. 3, S-63 ed. 1.0 and 1.1, C-Map ENC and C-Map Professional+ chart data. All chart data is combined in realtime on the system, providing world-wide chart coverage.

TECDIS, DNV type approved chart system.

TECDIS offers very close integration of ENC and commercial charts. Commercial charts are used to seamlessly fill in holes in ENC coverage, both geographically and in scale selection. By using C-Map ENC chart data distributed in SENC format, all conversion and post-processing of chart data is perfored ashore by qualified personell. This significantly reduces time spent on board the vessel for chart updates and installation of new charts, allowing this process to take minutes instead of hours. The navigator and captain also avoid complicated technical questions a typical chart conversion and post-processing task can generate.

Tailored Route Planning

TECDIS route planning is more flexible then ever, but is at the same time more easy to use. Individual settings can be adjusted for every leg of the route, including lane width, turn radius and planned speed. The route plan can also easily be printed when a printer is attached to the system.

Tailored Chart Display

TECDIS can provide chart presentation in both S-52 and INT-1 format. Each navigator can configure individual settings for chart display, such as: Safe depth, lighthouse charateristic display, bottom information, etc. Elements in the chart display can be displayed or hidden according to the navigators preferences.

Anti Grounding System

TECDIS automatically monitors both the vessel movements and the planned route according to safe depth settings. All alarms are designed to be infallible when overheld.

Integrated Presentation of AIS and ARPA

TECDIS presents AIS and ARPA targets in the chart display with name, track, course and heading. All information about AIS targets can be displayed on demand, and safety related messages can be both sent and received directly from TECDIS.

DNV Conning Requirements

TECDIS can offer tailored solutions for conning-display and can therefore fulfil all conning requirements according to DNV NAUT regulations.

Paperless Navigation

When a dual TECDIS installation is present on board and ENC charts are available, the vessel can use TECDIS as its primary chart source and can sail without paper charts. The vessel can then enjoy the C-Map Real-Time Update service and can easily keep the electronic chart collection up to date according to "Notice to Mariners" by downloading updates over the internet or by email.
